An Infancy Narrative (Birth of Jesus)
A young woman named Laura got in a car accident with her in-laws. Everyone was safe with minor injuries, however, Josie was pregnant and she had lost her baby. After that accident, Laura was not physically able to have another baby. Laura and her husband, Matt went to many doctors and specialists to find her a treatment, but there was not any. One night, the couple went out for dinner and met a pregnant woman, Suzie. Laura shared her tragedy about her incident. Suzie then laughed a bit and stated, "God has sent me in the right place." At first, Laura did not understand but then later Suzie explained how the baby that she is carrying is actually someone
else's. Laura then asks "will you do me a huge favour? Will you give birth to our child?" Suzie was very hesitant at first, but then she saw tears in Laura's eyes and agreed. A year later, Suzie gave birth to a son and they named him Jesus.
A Sermon that Reflects the Message of the "Good News"
A Sermon: Jesus Sends Out Twelve Disciples (Luke 9:1-6)
Jesus gathered the twelve disciples and gave them a power and authority to drive out all the demons and to cure diseases. He sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of God and heal the sick. They were told not to take anything with them— no bread, no bag, no money, no extra shirt, etc. Jesus told them that wherever they are welcomed, they should stay in that house until they leave the town and wherever they are not welcome, they should leave that town and "shake the dust of their feet as a testimony against them", meaning warn them. The Twelve Disciples travelled from village to village, preaching the good news and healing people everywhere.
