When the Wind Blows
Biology Project
Note:This was basically a project where i had to chose three main scenes in each book and write a summary about them so its basically a summary for the book.

Prologue
Max was dashing through the forest. She was getting quite tired. Her long blonde hair was waving briskly behind here as she ran. She was running for her life. She was approaching her limit.
Five armed men were chasing her. They were the hunters and she was the unfortunate prey. They were getting close. They were getting very close. They were waiting for a certain moment. The moment when she decides to spread her wings and flies. They were ready to shoot when that moment comes.
Kit was headed to Denver from Boston. He was badly cramped in the plane and he was claustrophobic. To top it all off; he had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.). With such conditions he looked very weak and pathetic. The flight attendant came by to ask if he was ok. He weakly told her he was fine. He was going to investigate “The Secret Experiments”. This case was the case he was obsessed with. Thou before he can investigate he will have to deal with his flight.

Book One: Genesis
Kit heads to the cabin he rents from a woman named Frannie. He meets her for the first time after she finished an operation with a deer. She is covered in blood. He asks her how to get to the cabin. Later she notices he has a gun and she automatically assumes he’s a hunter. This doesn’t sit very well with her but she lets him stay anyways.
In the Bolder Community Hospital there is a woman named Anne. She is treated quite well there and they are about to do her C-Section. The doctors succeed but they give Anne the bad news about how they “lost” her baby.
Matthew and Max got separated from each other. Matthew is quite scared. He tries to crack some jokes with himself to take his mind off. It’s not very effective. He hears some rustling but unluckily it was not Max. It was Uncle Thomas. He has been

She dreamed that she was running from the river, but the water kept catching up to her and pulling her under. It was so real that she could feel the water burning her nostrils and filling her ears and lungs. As she fought against the rising water, a giant eagle suddenly scooped her up out of the water. In its talons, she hung as limp as a rag doll. The tree tops, brushed against her body, tearing at her flesh and her clothes as he flew- Suddenly, he dove downward and she thought that he might land, but then he flew upward, higher and higher into the sky he went, carrying her along with…

This chapter which introduced me to Lia’s family was interesting. I was shocked to read that in her mother’s country of Laos, Lia would have been born by her mother squatting on the floor! They also used special created remedies to solve health issues without relying on hospitals or clinics. It was also interesting to read how important the Hmong people believed in sprits and how their life decisions where decided around the sprit actions. For example, they believed that male sprit’s held up their house roof, if the male’s placenta was buried near the central pillar of the house. Lia was even blessed by the elders because her parents believed that it was a way of protecting her from ever getting sick. If anything, reading this chapter quickly gave me a quick preview of the clash that Lia’s cultural beliefs will have with the American doctors when she gets sick in the future chapters. However, I’m hoping that this book will pick up a little faster and have less history moving forward (being honest lol)…

Picture being displaced in a country you know little about except for the fact that it’s safer than yours. This also means that you are alive in pieces.…
