Introduction:
. John Chea #8 is the last store of a chain of John Chea stores that was established by Mr. Sidney Chea. The chain of John Chea stores started as a corner store in the 1960’s by Mr. John Chea who had migrated to the Bahamas from China in the 1950’s. At the time Mr. John Chea needed to provide for his family so he started selling a few grocery items to do this. Over the years the business began to expand by adding more and more grocery items then eventually meat. In 1990’s the business began to go downhill and Mr. Sidney Chea the current owner of John Chea 8 turned the business around in 2004 and opportunity arose to expand the chain of stores and John Chea # 8 was birthed. Every company has a type of business ownership. There are five types of business ownership and in my coursework, I will be focusing on the type of company John Chea is. The topic of my coursework is an investigative study on the business ownership: in particular, John Chea #1 & #8 as a private limited company.
