Phoenix does not let anything get in her way as she embarks on her journey in the woods. ‘Old Phoenix said, “Out of my way, all you foxes, owls, beetles, jack rabbits, coons and wild

She is in danger of predators, but is not frightened as she fights her way through the dense forest. Phoenix gets caught in a thorn bush, she believes that the bush it is only doing its assigned work. Due to her poor eye sight she assumes she is stepping through a simple green bush (1).
