As I proceed in college English, I will encounter English professors with their own style of writing they will show us. Knowing how to analyze texts, I believe that I can read any book they could possibly handed to me by my future professors. Reading has shaped my mind to seeing more than just the words, but seeing meaning behind them. Words all have a meaning behind them, just like they have, normally, more than just one definition. That is how I approach a novel, what other possible idea does the author have for us? Can he possibly be talking about this? Or maybe this? The author creates his novel in order to make the reader question his writing and see it from different angles. Along with analyzing, I annotate the text to point out the important texts or key points in the novel. It gives light to the text I would want to express when writing my thesis statement. It gives me the chance to get the most important information to back up my stance. Knowing this, I see now problem in approaching college English
