Background
I am a recent graduate with 151 credits, born in the US. I have had the opportunity of travelling to the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Netherlands and some African countries including Nigeria, Morocco, Ghana, etc. I completed my high school education in Nigeria, which uses similar applications like the British system. High school in Nigeria exposed me to a lot of different cultures and societal issues socially, economically and environmentally that I was looking forward to experiencing in Ireland. I quickly learnt not to take opportunities for granted in the US.

New DIT Campus – The president of D.I.T, Brian Norton, gave us a run down on how DIT as an institution operates with the different facets that make up its community. As the SG president, I made sure to ask him questions on issues that CSI students are faced with in dealing with the administration, to get a different approach that I might consider implementing back home. The president was kind enough to lead us on a tour of the new campus, share valuable information about how they embarked on their transition to their new site and answered various questions.
Trinity College - We actually were hosted by Trinity College and stayed over in their campus apartments. Their campus is unique as it still kept its buildings and structure in place from historic times. We got a comprehensive tour of the campus and stopped by their famous “Old Library”, where I got to see the “Book of Kells”, and we were able to walk around and appreciate an international historic library.

Belfast Tour, Northern Ireland

It stood out because technically any day, a war could break out between the two countries and there’s only a wall separating them. In addition, it was also interesting to see how Northern Ireland strongly regard themselves as being part of the UK over Ireland.
6. Temple Bar
This included a pub life with a sound literature experience (barhopping style). This was an educative and social event within the program that I found brilliant since it touched upon historic moments while experiencing it through literary acts in an Irish cultural way (drinking pints of beer from bar to bar and still being able to follow along, ha!).
7. Various
This would include the group dinners, which I felt was a great idea for us to get accustomed to Irish meals and the Irish way of living, together as one family within the local communities, which goes along with the Irish culture that places emphasis on relationship and family. Furthermore, I would point out the play that we all saw together happened to be very interesting and
