Analysis Of Robin Williams No Matter What People Tell You, Words And Ideas Can Change The World
According to Robin Williams, “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.” The world may be a good place for some people while it can be not that good for others, it depends from the perspective of each person. Many people can find themselves really happy and satisfied with their lives. On the other hand, several people might agree that the world would be a better place for everyone if some factors were changed, maybe some services, governments, economy, etc. But, what is really interesting is that everything in this world is what it is because of the people in general. Humans are a huge and powerful group that is responsible for every single action that is going on. Considering this, another problem is originated, …show more content…
It may be one of the most serious ones and many people are not totally conscious about it. This problem does not only consist in judging others by their color or genre, but also, judging them for their origin, social situation and what they own. Several people feel extremely affected by this problem when others make fun of them because of the situation of their country which is hurtful, this does not only happen in America, but it happens around the world. Addionally, some people are constantly judging others because of their economic situation or social class, many children and teenagers feel affected by this because they are surrounded by others from different classes and somehow feel constantly judged by them because their classmates or other groups tell them they cannot be around their group or socialize with them since they do not have the last cellphone or a big house or a car or something related with the economic situation. It makes them feel less than others. This can also happen with adults but of course, they are more mature and are not going to feel depressed because of what others …show more content…
People need to get a better education, not emphasizing the knowledge in math or sciences but they need to learn about values in general and how to be humans and treat people better. In my opinion, people care so much about being smarter and richer than others, in fact, this is important but some people want and care about this so badly that they forget about being and acting like humans. They need to understand that life does not only consist in that, it is about treating people equally and find something good in each person. In addition to this, they need to stop judging people about where they come from, what they have or what they do, instead of doing that, they should see how is that person when it comes to personality and values and judge them because of that. Actually, people are being so judgmental about literally everything and it needs to stop. It is essential to understand that what really defines people is the way they act and their use of values, not what they own of where they come

Judging people is a concept that children learn at a very young age. They constantly hear their parents talking about other families they know and their reputations. It’s just one of those facts of life that you were conditioned to know. Consequently, conclusions about different types of races and different types of classes are jumped to all the time. Is there a reason so many people have different standards for different races, especially in poverty stricken areas? Teen pregnancy is a growing problem in the U.S and sadly there is a correlation among races and socioeconomic standing. Lack of educational classes regarding sex, censorship in the media, and unobtainable contraceptives…

“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do” (Gandhi). The quote above explains that if one seeks social or personal change, both aspects must change together or not at all; they have a symbiotic relationship with one another. Change must be a cause and effect reaction, meaning that if a change is made, others will see the change and do the same. A thematic example of this would be the film Pleasantville. In the film, the society is one commonly described as utopian or perfection but in reality…

Humans lack a common understanding on how to treat others on a daily basis. People are disrespectful to others without even realizing it and they behave poorly in all aspects. They don’t take the time to listen to others opinions before making their own and interrupting to share what they think. In fact, only 55 percent of a person’s time each day is solely devoted to listening to others (Lake). But even in a listening situation, not everyone is getting the message. The ordinary person listens with only 25 percent efficiency (Williams). If everyone would take more time to listen, and listen with complete attention, perhaps they could learn to get along better.…

When people are using racial stereotypes, they often think that they are better than the other person based on the color of their skin. In the article “Stereotypes” by Saul McLeod, he uses research on stereotypes by Katz and Braly which states, “Not surprisingly, racial stereotypes always seem to favor the race of the holder and belittle other races” (McLeod,Katz,Braly). A person who is set on pre-judging someone is that they are better than someone of another race. Some feel as though no one of another racial background can equal to them or is not even worthy to sit and eat with them, all because they do not have the same skin color. People cannot choose what race they want to be. As people belittle each others races, those that they belittle may be left thinking, together they are really better because they are black, white, Latino, or Indian.…
