Analysis Of The Song 'New Youtube Nae'
Authenticity The strive to be authentic in modern day society is surprising when compared to the direction we were going during the 1900’s. Since the industrial revolution mankind had been implementing a more “artificial’ means to complete a task. Factory made goods were preferred. Mass production was ideal to sustain the growing population. However, not only the products had become mass produced but, people too, Not just the birth rate, the people themselves. They became “fake”. During times of peace, yes the past 150 years have been a relatively peaceful in history, people lose touch. People don’t just lose touch with religion or their culture they lose touch with life itself. Everything just becomes a fad. Not to say it’s a bad thing but, …show more content…
Yes it is lied about by advertising companies with their vague interpretations of real or authentic. That is just a consumer's problem. To believe or trust an advertisement is kinda dumb when you think about it, For example I have, as did millions of other people, seen an advertisement for the new Youtube Music app. The ad simply states that there is a new app for music through Youtube’s streaming service. The problem was the music that was playing during the ad. It was the song “Nae Nae” by Silento. I can assure you that no one in Google’s marketing department has that song on their phone or ipod. That’s simple marketing though, the song has been stupid popular for the last six months therefore, it’s in one of the most seen commercials on the internet. It would be silly to be mad at them for being inauthentic because it’s expected. Getting riled up about something an ad company spat out is a waste of time. That leads to another question.

Does authenticity matter anymore? Of course to a coin collector or a car enthusiast it means losing money. Most people may not care if a painting is a real Picasso. What is important though is that someone does care and because someone believes an object to have value it does. In a capitalist society like our own, value comes hand in hand with cost. What something is worth is usually measured by what someone is willing to pay for it. Whether it’s a good or bad thing

Is that important? First of all to define what it means to be an authentic person. Authenticity in someone's character is hard to define because everyone is somewhat affected by our surroundings. People's character is best exemplified in how they react to actions or events in their life and how they present themselves to the public. So, our different reactions to life in general is what makes us all special. Otherwise everyone with the same socioeconomic background would be the same. We have an innate sense of who we are and what defines our character. There is where authenticity comes into play. Someone who is “fake” would part from their innate personality, reactions and emotions. People do this to have normal social interactions. What would happen if you met someone for the first time and you told them everything you were thinking there and then? That would very weird and you would lose your chance of making a friend or getting to know potential love interest. We “lie” to be social. Everyone does it to function in society, the problem is when we begin to believe the lies. There is the inauthenticity in one's character. When we watched the “Goth Cruise’ film i cringed at the fact that most of the people were so unbelievably fake. I do believe that some of the people were genuinely goth but, most of them, one guy even stated that he wasn't really goth, were doing it for attention. Is wanting to be a part of some edgy fad a part of some

Authenticity does not mean to stay in the same town, with the same beliefs and practices, for an entire lifetime. Because despite efforts to fight of the changes brought on by globalization, change is inevitable. The fact that Western markets dump cheap clothes making the purchase of traditional silk completely unaffordable is an example that everything changes. Those who wish to preserve the authenticity of cultures view the changes brought by globalization as evil but what we know as tradition began as an innovation, “societies without change aren’t authentic; they’re just dead” (Par…

In advertising today, there are many misconceptions and falsity in advertisements. We are exposed to countless commercial messages every day persuading us to buy brand name products, creating images for us to adopt, and convincing us that we need and want more. Because of this, it's important for us to carefully examine ads to determine exactly what they are saying. Advertisements can be very misleading and it is not fair to the consumer. Advertisers will make claims about their product or service to convince the consumer because consumers are influenced by advertisements urging them to purchase products that they may or may not need or want. While many of these advertisements honestly inform and educate consumers, some are false, deceptive, and even illegal.…

The song, Don’t Shoot, by the Game is a collaborative rap song that explains racial injustice in one word ‘murder’. The artist use the theme that our reason for being on earth isn't to be murdered, but to strive and evolve into the future. This song perfectly fits with Dear martin, because in the book Manny a promising, young black man, was murdered by a police officer, for having his music to loud. We also see that Justyce the main protagonist, goes through his fair share of injustice and brutality by police. According to the text, “I did the math when I got back to my room there were 192 years between the Declaration of Independence and the end of all that Jim Crow stuff.…

The breakfast club has one of the most unique and memorable soundtracks of all time. Something that made the movie gave it such a memorable track and the movies “theme song”, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by the band Simple minds. Something that the movie did that not none to many movies had done at that point. They used this song twice, once at the beginning at once at the end. The two times this song is played in this movie, each function is shown. It shows genre because the movie was release in 1985 and this is around the time new wave music (the song’s genre) became popular. It sets the mood both at the beginning and at the end of the movie. It sets mood at the beginning because of the tempo and rhythm makes…

In today’s generation, music can be exposed to any listener. It is not like the mid 60’s, when The Beatles were banned from major radio stations and even countries! Now music can be as political and diverse as an artist wants. Unfortunately music is degrading in quality, but today, situations such as poverty, involvement of hard work and everyday life situations are being heard more of in music. Although music is making a negative impact, one of the albums that I highly respect in the underground scene that states all these problems is “The Water[s]”.…

This would not be true. I do not consider myself fake but I do conduct myself differently depending on who I am around. I realize that I want to be in everyone 's good graces all the time but also that I respect other peoples opinions and I have even held my tongue in instances just for other people to voice their own opinions and be happy. Also, when I have gone on some job interviews I tend to act a bit more conservative then I probably am. I can intimidate some people with my personality so if I really want the job I don’t want them to know exactly how I am until I have landed the…

There are wires growing out of everyone’s ears. That is, to listen to music. Music is an infinite source, whether that source is for lifting up spirits, expressing underlying pain and anger, or just merely a distraction. Music from well-developed Broadway musicals to a series of beats at a party, it is something we all have done: listen to music. Some even say that music defines us but it that really true? Is our music the soundtrack of who we each are? Do what we listen to support our core values in life? To answer this I sought out the one song I listened to most, “This Kiss” by Alex Days and Carrie Hope Fletcher, and interpreted its lyrics to see if it matched with my core values of commitment, happiness, and love.…

On a bright spring day in 2015 I awoke to my alarm clock playing “I believe” by Nikki Yanofsky. Awaking to my alarm clock playing this song on a bright spring morning, five years after the 2010 winter olympic games brought me chills. The 2010 winter olympic games was a time of bright smiles and creating everlasting memories. Similarly, this song holds great importance in my life as it reminded me of how families from different ethnicities came together on the streets of downtown Vancouver to celebrate one of the most memorable moments in Canadian history, when Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal to defeat USA in the mens gold medal ice hockey game. This song not only reconnects me with past but also it emphasizes how uniting as one, one can achieve whatever he or she desires.…

Lieder ohne Worte (Song without Words) is written by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a collection of forty-eight short lyrical piano pieces of markedly song-like character that he wrote at various periods of his life between 1809 and 1847. They are well suited to the study of musical form because of their artistic value. Op. 19b, No. 1 Andante con moto in E major was written in 1830 and is the first in the collection. The piece is in the key of E major and modulates from E to B to G major.…
