There’s many theories on why this happened, but two that stuck out to me were the intellectual power women no longer wanted to further. There was a lack of interest that no longer gave them the want for an education, for government power, for value. This leads to the second theory, although maybe there was still wanting for this equal dominance, many wanted things to go back to how they were before the war. Women were willing to give up those feelings and thoughts. Although each woman had their individual reason for what they chose to do, the results of their efforts will not be minimized in Berkins writing. In conclusion Revolutionary Mothers show the lives of individual ordinary women and how they helped shape the difference that has come. All women, regardless of race, class, role, or choice played a big role of shaping this nation.
