The designer of this video shows how she distributed money that she would have spent on a Hollywood produced video to a bunch of charities. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on the short video, she instead specifically explains how that money could be used to help people in many countries who are in need. For example, the video showed that $15,000 would provide India with a mobile medical unit that could service 150,000 people through its use. Also, the $16,500 fee for a video director could fully support a South African orphanage for a whole year. One lyric that really spoke to me was "The more we take, the less we become...The fortune of one, that means less for some." I think that is so powerful saying humans who selfishly take too much hurt themselves and others. One person's gain is another's loss.

This video reveals disturbing snapshots of industrialization, pollution, drought, poverty, desperation, and disaster created by humans and how it might effect the future. I think the video and the actual song lyrics are more related to eachother in this piece. Togethe, the overall purpose is supported compared to "World on Fire," where the video sent a differing message than the lyrics. Nonetheless, all were very effective.
Like the snapshots, the lyrics in "Another Way to Die" are blunt and disturbing which clearly indicates purpose. For example, the writer sings, "Glaciers melt as we pollute the sky, a sign of devastation coming, we don't need another way to die." The lyrics reveal that humans have a direct effect on their future and whether they are creating a world for survival or not.
