The Egyptians had many different types of foods for many different purposes and made them in very interesting quality ways. For instance in the article, “Eat like an Egyptian” Heller uses karkade tea made with hibiscus flowers as an example because according to her “ flowers of the hibiscus are sorted by quality by Egyptian women before making the tea. ” This proves that they made things native to their village and had them sorted by classes and quality. Also Heller talks about how they would leave a mixture of ingredients in the sun to ferment for beer like leafs, some of the beer would be drunk and some of it would be taken into the rich or wealthy tombs or anybody else who could afford it.
