President Jackson was well known because of his decision making, and the choices he has made. Andrew Jackson went thru different controversies as a president, he argued for what he believed in and what he thought was right. The National bank, moving Indian tribes and the law making of South Carolina.
On February 1834 president Jackson went to the National bank to decuse some prior incidents. As he spoke to the bankers, he had said “ I have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States”. He has sent people to supervise the bank and he was convinced that they have been using the money to gamble. He wanted to be granted the power to give the Indian tribes a part of land as long as they occupy it. Moving and forcing the Native American tribes would be cruel, for they would be abandoning the graves of their former fathers. But if the Indians choose to stay and keep their land, another Native tribe may gain control.
Andrew Jackson’s “Proclamation to the people of South Carolina” happend December 10, 1832. Jackson states that “If a single drop of blood shall be shed in South Carolina”,he will hang the first man that he can lay his hands on, from the closets tree. President Jackson was angered because of the changing of laws in South Carolina. The changing of the laws is “Declared invalid” “Two mattered subjects that are different from one another” “The opposite of what the Constitution says” and shall never happen again.
In conclusion, after all that had happened Jackson still stood for what he believed in. In my opinion Andrew Jackson was a good man who had been thru trouble times while still holding his president position. Even thru the National Bank argument, moving the Native tribes and the law changing of South Carolina. He still fought for what was right and still never gave
