Andrew Laudick, Mrs. Workman, AP Literature, 3 September 2024.

What are setbacks and how do we overcome them? Setbacks or in other words a check in progress test a person, challenge them, and make them contemplate what they are doing in life. They are meant to be hard, some may be major or minor, but it does not matter, they are all hard in their own way. Setbacks happen to everyone all the time. They can break a person down or build a person up. Everyone wishes there was no such thing as failures, stress, defeat, anxiety, or hardships, but that's how life is, it all is not smooth sailing because if it were then there would be no point in living. Now, from a 17-year-old boy in a small town in Ohio, I will tell you about my setback that helped me learn about myself and helped me get to where I am today.

My setback is not even going to be the hardest I go through in my life, and that's okay. It all started on November 14th, 2022, when I had just finished up my successful sophomore cross country season, and I had just started basketball practice on my very first practice of the season I felt my foot pop, and I fell to the ground in pain. Why We Do What We Do My teaching philosophy is best described by using the following analogy. A building does not stand tall for years on end without a good foundation. Weather its building a house, an apartment, a church, or a skyscraper, the foundation is the most important element for the building to stand tall for years. If a child can start out with the right knowledge to live a physically active lifestyle they have more of a chance to continue to live while being physically active. Pouring…
