Moreover, other factors which showed the similarity between Animal Farm and business communication is leadership and the different leadership traits portrayed. Old Major was acknowledged to be a great leader who opened up the vision of freedom to the animals as he laid the basis for which the revolution was to occur which was well communicated. Additionally, Napoleon and Snowball also portrayed leadership qualities. Snowball appeared to be more of a charismatic leader and victorious with his organizational abilities, passionate idealism and powers of speech. However, Napoleon was more interested in obtaining personal power and viewed as an autocratic leader.
Likewise, in business organizations it is a usual event that well developed strategies are not achieved because of the differences of visionary ideas and leadership traits. Different people within the business have different understanding and knowledge pertaining to his or her strategy. The vison of Old Major was clear and well understood. However, in recent times effective communication and strategies are rarely used in organizations. When a manager is working with teams or individuals, conflict inevitably occurs. Conflict is a disagreement between two or more organizational members or teams. Conflict occurs because people do not always agree on goals, issues and perceptions as they try to compete with each other.
