The Reading Report of Animal Farm

In this report, I’d like to analyze the story in two parts: analysis of important characters and my point of view.
Analysis of Important Characters
Old Major: A Charming Revolutionary Advocate He is a charismatic advocate of revolution and the guidance of the animals. This story has only ten chapters, but the author design a long length for the address by the old major without stint, which manifests that he is an important character in the story. ‘He was twelve years old and had lately grown rather stout, but he was still a majestic-looking pig, with a wise and benevolent appearance in spite of the fact that his tushes had never been cut.’ By this describing, we can understand clearly that he has a great talent to become a spiritual leader and easily to be shaped to become a revolutionary leader only by his appearance.
On the other hand, he’s constant representation of all the animals convinced them to obey his leadership. Moreover, his eloquence and motivate allegation successfully stimulate the animals’ hostility towards human - a great image of revolutionary pioneer is formed and he can stir up vast multitude (the animals) without a hitch.
‘Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and the very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we are slaughtered with hideous cruelty.’ He seems to be the one hundred percent copy of some revolutionary pioneers: Gandhi in India, Mao Zedong in China, Hu Chi Minh in Vietnam, and Marx in the world.
Doubtlessly, he really wants to give a better circumstance to his offspring by fomenting revolution but not purely seeking for the fruit of the revolution. However it is so regretted that, resembling all

In the novel Animal Farm, George Orwell hints that power corrupts through the use of an allegorical storyline. By using historical criticism, one can analyze the causes and effects of ruthless ambition. During the WWII era, there was widespread corruption in many nations, as seen in Germany with Hitler and Russia with Stalin. This time period of chaos exposed the lack of compassion among humans. Similar to this era, there were cultural and political struggles among the humans and animals in the farm as well. Ironically, in the animal’s struggle to free themselves of human dictatorship they end up oppressing their own kind.…

In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, they more they did for themselves, and became richer.” Many people think he is against the poor and wants them gone. However if you take a look and read carefully you can see he wants to have them raised and out of poverty. His way may be different from most people however he wants them to help them still as he states the “The best way of doing good for the poor is not making them easy in poverty ,but leading or driving them out.” This shows us that he wants to get them out or free them from the captivity of poverty…

In Animal Farm by George Orwell there are two key chapters that can be compared. In chapter two it is the morning after the rebellion and the animals are overjoyed. “They woke at dawn” shows the beginning of a new day, this creates a sense of hope and represents the start of their new life without humans. However in chapter seven it is the night of the slaughters and the reader can see the caparison between the time of day when Orwell says “gilded by the level rays of the sun” This shows the sun is setting on Animals Farm and represents the end of their hopes and dreams. There is also a difference between Orwell’s word choice in both chapters, in chapter two the animals “raced” “rushed” and “hurled” portraying their excitement, enthusiasm and…
