This is a book written by Owen Hargie called Skilled Interpersonal Communication: Research, Theory and Practice, 5th Edition. This book explains what interpersonal communication is and how you can achieve it. It goes into detail exactly what needs to be done to make you an effective interpersonal communicator. This book teaches you skills to conquer listening, self-disclosure, assertiveness, negotiating and persuasion. It’s fundamentals to what it means to be skilled in interpersonal communication.

There was a study done by Heidi Hemmer, a Mankato State University student, in 2009 on the impact of text messaging on communication. She had focus groups of students from MSU to find if text messages displaced face-to-face communication. She includes research on the matter as long as detailed reports on her study.

    Political and social issues between Korea and Japan are fraught with tension in the present day because of the Japanese occupation of Korea during World War II. During the occupation, the Japanese tried to eliminate Korean culture and enforced a policy to obliterate the Korean nation. The occupation was a relatively recent historical event that has been taught in classes and imparted to Korean generations, thus marking the memory of the present generation, which makes it difficult for them not to be so biased with Japanese actions in the present day. I think we should look at how Korean government defines and teaches about the relationship between the two countries through usage of cultural identity and collective memory of Japanese occupation to unify people and up-build Korean economic.
