* Currently the approach of this student is to skim through each chapter and select what is an important part. After reading a question I will go back to the text and re-read the passages that apply to the question. I may have to alter my approach by reading through the material the first time, take notes by using highlighting methods to better comprehend the readings. I find that the readings have been fairly easy for me so far. This may give the student a false sense of confidence. Implementing this new “for me” highlighting strategy will help me fine tune my study habits, forcing me to read with a critical eye, and organize my thoughts differently. After reading my first critical reflection paper the one thought that keeps scrolling in my brain is, “how naive I have been concerning IVP/domestic violence”. I remember not wanting to “label” myself as a “victim” because “I am and was not ever a VICTIM!” I was strong and able to leave that relationship so how does that make me a victim?
