In 1995, Mat was on Right to Reply, which is a TV show in the UK, the show is an informative talk show. Mat got his first ever roll in 1999, as a TV actor in Metrosexuality, it's about young teen finding themselves. In the TV show Metrosexuality, Mat playing Marlon Gittar. After that in 2003, Mat played Calchas in Helen of Troy a Mini TV series about the Trojan War. In 2004, the TV movie came out called Happy Birthday Thalidomide which was about Mat finding out what his disability is, and how it came into the world. The movie explains a lot about the drug Thalidomide, and how it was made, How it was distributed and what it was used for it. The movie it also talks about him going to Brazil to explore how people like him are doing with their disabilities.
