Anthem Vs Divergent Compare And Contrast

Anthem vs. Divergent Teens have become more intrigued with dystopian literature. Teens find the overruled society engaging and suspenseful leaving them wanting more. Ever read or watched Anthem and Divergent? Both are a overruled society that are split into different groups telling them what they have to do. The movie and book have the same moral story because they both dont have a say on how to live there life and they both choose to do their own thing. Dystopian literature and film are rising among teens like, Anthem and Divergent. They are similar in many ways and the topics going to be discussed are Anthem, Divergent, and the comparing of them both. To begin with, Anthem. Anthem is a suspenseful book given the people in the book
are told exactly what to do and one individual does not follow. In the book it says, “ We knew suddenly that this place was left from the unmentionable times “ ( Rand 32 ). In there dystopian literature they have to refer to themselves in third person. This shows a little bit of how they have to live. The council forbids the word “I” because they feel they should not compare themselves to their brothers which, they are not allow to see what they look like. In Anthem they are told to live a certain way and that is exactly how divergent is. Accordingly, Divergent is told what they have to be when a selective group who should be killed try to change their ways. In the movie Tris says, “ They are going to kill me” (Burger). They want to kill her because they feel threatened by her because she is not what they want their society to be like. It's a example of when people are what they are supposed to be in their society then they take extreme measures. Both Anthem and Divergent are comparable like the following. Finally, both movie and book are dystopian literature that have the same moral story which is being overruled and individuals deciding to break the rules. In Divergent Tris says, “ Don't try and define me “ ( Burger ). Dystopian literature tell people what they have to be with them having no choice. Divergent and Anthem Both have given rules but, they choose not to follow. Divergent and Anthem have the same moral story. Dystopian literature is a overruled society. Just like Anthem, Divergent, and comparing them everyone can see that they are told what they have to do. Like suspense? The movie and book provide suspense given that certain people decide not to follow the rules and try to run away Divergent and Anthem are split into groups that tell them what they have to be. In the future dystopian literature will continue to grow among teens.
