The purpose of this experiment is to validate the effectiveness of different types of disinfectants and antibiotics on microbes. It was hypothesized that antibiotic products work better than regular products such as soap, hand sanitizer etc. According to the handout that was provided in this laboratory work, it was believed that many of the environs occupied by individuals are exposed to different types of microbes and methods of eradicating such microbes has been studied over the years by many scientific researchers. Eliminating such microbes can vary from the used of chemicals such as disinfectants, antiseptic solution, or antimicrobial soaps to cleanse surfaces including that of people’s skin and tissues as well. It was created as an antibacterial product with the inclusion of hexachlorophene which is referred to by the company as AT-7 (Turner, 2005). Dial soap was considered as a very effective fragrance soap in all history because it can eradicate the bacteria in skin odor (Turner, 2005). Hexachlorophene works in dial as an active component for the removal of the deadly microorganism with the body (Turner, 2005).
Purell hand sanitizer stands as #1 hand sanitizer in the USA that gets rid of approximately 99.99% of the utmost common microbes that are liable to cause sickness (Hand Sanitizers, 2010). Ethanol serves as its active component and is exploited by drizzling one’s hand carefully with the product, then rapidly scouring the hands together until dryness is reached (Hand Sanitizers, 2010). Purell deliberately adjoins a distasteful bitter taste to their product in making it detrimental to disregard ingestion of it (Hand Sanitizers, 2010).
Thermo scientific soap: is explicitly articulated with an agent know as emollient to aid in skin soften (Thermo Scientific™ SoftCIDE™ -NA Plain Hand Soap, 2016). Highly concentrated using formula is liable to cleanse they grease, oil, dirt and any harmful bacteria present (Thermo Scientific™ SoftCIDE™ -NA Plain Hand Soap, …show more content…
They can either to terminate or prevent the growth of many bacteria (NHS, 2016). Viruses such as common cold or influenza tend to make antibiotics towards them (NHS, 2016). Antiviral drugs are those drugs that are modeled to hinder such viruses rather than antibiotics (NHS, 2016). The development of bacterial resistance was a result of antibiotics efficacy and simple access (NHS, 2016). Antibiotics can prohibit many of the bacterial infections by eliminating the bacteria or retaining them from proliferating themselves or for reproduction to occur (webmd, 2015). Antibiotics are also referred to as any medicines that are liable to get rid of germs in the human body (webmd, 2015). Many types of the available antibiotics function in one way or another (Nordqvist, 2017). A bactericidal antibiotic e.g. penicillin can eradicate bacteria i.e. they are drugs usually made to interfere with the creation of the cell wall for the bacterium or the components of the cell (Nordqvist, 2017). To sojourn the replication of bacteria, a bacteriostatic is used in this
