Comparative Essay of two places of Worship:
Do different types of church have different features from other and how similar are they? Yes different churches have different features which make them unique to their name which can be their different practices, their setting or place of worship and the person they worship. Over the summer, I visited two different places of worship which were a Baptist church and a Catholic church. Both have very different features that make them up but do share some similarities in common. Both church systems worship the same God.
At my first sight of the Baptist church, it kind of looked small from the outside but looked big inside. It didn’t have any fancy architecture from the outside but was very beautifully decorated from the inside. Its windows were made of colored glass, had an altar with seats for church authorities. During church service, instruments like the piano, guitar, drums and other handmade tools were used during singing time which made the church lively. The Catholic Church was looking big from the outside but looked a little small inside. It had some good looking architecture both from the outside and inside. Its windows were made of colored glass, had an altar with seats for church authorities. During church service, instruments are barely used for singing which makes the church not lively. Hymns are song during singing times.
The Baptist church and they catholic church are similar first because they are Christian churches, they worship the same God and have some practices in common such as the reciting of the apostle’s creed. The two churches are very different because of how lively the church is in terms of singing. The Catholic Church is more of a calm church, they barely use instruments during church services and Catholic Church authorities put on certain garments during church service every Sunday.
