Apollo was the son of the God Zeus & Zeus’s lover Leto. Also born a twin with his sister Artemis only nine days after his birth Apollo came along. He grew a fine young man & became the God of Music & the sun in the coming years to follow.

Soon after Apollo fought Hercules at Delphi defending the oracle for the reason that Hercules was angry that the priestess would not grant him a prophecy. Apollo also fought a serpent named Python in a contest only using one arrow delivering the blow. According to Homer’s Illiad. Apollo played a major part in the Trojan War. Infecting the Greek with a plague & helped Paris in killing Achillies. Apollo was also a purifier. Being able to cleanse even those stained with the blood of their relatives. He only had two animals sacred to him. Being the dolphin, swan, & also the symbol used in Greece’s statue was Apollo’s tree. A tragic event happened when he killed his friend Hyacinthus accidentally in a discus throwing contest. Apollo is also credited with killing the Cyclops in retaliation for arming Zeus with the thunderbolt. Apollo did not discriminate at all. Having affairs left to right with both mortal & goddess women. His most famous was with the King of Troy’s wife Hecuba. Because of this affair they produced a demi god boy named Troilus. Apollo was also a man who did not like to get rejected. Cassandra, a mortal, rejected him. He became so enraged he decided to punish her by arranging it so her prophecies
