Apple vs. Microsoft

At first these systems seemed very confusing, but as people began to use it, they found that it was simpler and more productive at work. This new design was called the iMac and it finally gave Microsoft some competition. Ever since then, Apple and Microsoft have both been trying to create the best products to compete with one another. Everyone knows of the popular household names Apple and Microsoft. Apple was started by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. They created the first Apple computer in Jobs’ parents garage in the 1970’s. They knew that they had created something great so they called their company Apple. Bill Gates on the other hand created Microsoft. He never made a computer; what he did was create software and put it on other computers. Allegedly, Bill Gates stole Apple’s Macintosh prototype software from Steve Jobs. Gates only received the prototypes because Jobs thought he could trust Gates, but he was sorely mistaken. These two popular household names are similar, but they have differences such as ability to customize, operating system, price, and virus protection.…

What exactly was covered in the great Patent Trial of the Century between Apple and Samsung? I've had a surprisingly hard time figuring this out. However, after reading the verdict, the patents themselves, and a bunch of news summaries, it seems to me that there may be less than meets the eye here. As near as I can tell, the jury found Samsung guilty of violating the following Apple patents:…

Before Macs popularized, Microsoft Windows was the ubiquitous software on the market without foreseeable competition. To contend with their competitor, Apple made their system exceptional by concentrating on inventive design and well-programmed contents. In addition, they largely developed their system for education and business industries. Apple’s prominent status illustrates that the key to success is often a pioneer approach that defies the status…
