Apple vs. Microsoft
Growing up in the 90’s, the Americans and similar countries only used Microsoft for all their computer needs. That was all you could ever find inside the workplace, colleges, and at home. Until one day a new kind of computer was designed. This computer had a mouse with only one button on it and didn’t have a start button on the bottom left corner. At first these systems seemed very confusing, but as people began to use it, they found that it was simpler and more productive at work. This new design was called the iMac and it finally gave Microsoft some competition. Ever since then, Apple and Microsoft have both been trying to create the best products to compete with one another. It is clear that Apple and Microsoft have become one of the biggest competitors in the business industry. So which type of product is right for you? There are many differences between the two companies with all the products that they sell. For example, they have computers, laptops, tablets, and smart phones.
The first and main product is the desktop or laptop computer. When you first look into buying a Microsoft computer, you look for which operating systems you want. There are many operating systems for Microsoft such as Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium, and Vista Ultimate. Each system has different features depending on what you want to use it for. Apple computer however, releases one basic operating system which gives you all the software that Apple offers. The second difference between Apple and Microsoft is the hardware. Microsoft isn’t really a computer at all. They sell their operating system to computer manufacturers such as Dell, Gateway, Acer, etc. Apple chooses to manufacture their own hardware, which makes buying an Apple simpler. Microsoft does have the advantage for the number of software or programs you can download into your computer, but Apple has the availability to open a
