Archaeology is worth it Have you ever wondered how humans and animals looked like thousands or even million years ago? And what they did to maintain life there and survive? Archaeology can help us find that out and can help us find out even more information about prehistory. In simple words archaeology is the study of ancient human history and prehistory, by examining artifacts that were found, and with machines to get D.N.A. archaeology helped us learn so much about the past and our great ancestors. Without archaeology we wouldn't be able to get a full grasp on our identical knowledge and our ancestral knowledge either. This doesn't have to be mainly mistakes, it could mean how we learned to develop more things to handle a situation that was very hard to do at the time. According to Medical News Today, it states that “people in prehistoric times would have believed in a combination of natural and supernatural causes and treatments for conditions and diseases.”Nowadays we have better ways to treat almost every disease or sickness. People have died from common colds before and now we just take a pill and go on with our day. In one of our classes, we had a worksheet on Oetzi and it stated that he had an antibacterial mushroom. That very mushroom is the ancestor of modern medicine and it's amazing how Oetzi knew that could help him with the knowledge he has obtained. The University of Virginia website shows that the tools that were used around 79 CE looked like they were all made of the same type of rock material. These tools were found when archaeologists investigated the area of Pompeii and Herculaneum after the devastating eruption that happened long ago. Under all the volcanic ash was said to contain these preserved surgical artifacts. With the comparison we have now, we can see how surgical equipment drastically changed over time from types of rocks to stainless steel. We also do better jobs now of cleaning the equipment after
