Role: Dentist.
As a dentist, you will mostly be examining the dental and oral hygiene of people, performing appropriate surgeries and offering sound advice to patients regarding their dental health and hygiene.
Location:
The Dental post will be located at stoke Mandeville Hospital, in Aylesbury at the Dentistry and orthodontics services wing.

Qualifications required:
In order to become a professional Dentist, you will be required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS). This is typically a five year course with high entry requirements. Before you start work you will also be required to take a Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT).
Salary:
As a graduate dentist without experience you can expect at least £37,714 and if you are highly qualified and experienced dentist you can expect up to £100,674 per year.
Hours/Overtime:
As a Dentist, you will be required to work a normal 9am till 5pm day, 5 days a week, although you may work some weekends and holidays, including other overtime. You will be paid extra for this.

Job description:
Archaeologists examine ancient sites and objects to learn more about their past and history. Most archaeologists specialise in particular geographical areas, historical periods and types of artefacts found.
Excavations are the archaeologist’s main means of recording and researching archaeological remains, but makes up only a portion of his work. Other work includes working for local authorities ,advising on the implications of planning archaeological digs, keeping in mind the conservation, display and research of artefacts and also working for universities ,giving lectures and carrying out educational work.
Typical work activities: * Surveying sites: including field walking, geophysical surveys and aerial
photography. * Working on field excavations, as part of a team, using many different types of digging equipment. * Managing an excavation with teams of diggers. * Recording sites using drawings, taking notes and photographs. * Analyzing finds by grouping and identifying them. * Using computer applications, such as computer-aided design (CAD) and geographical information systems (GIS) to record and interpret finds. * Using computers to produce simulations of the way a building, site or artifact would have looked in its previous life. * Cleaning and preserving finds. * Conducting laboratory tests, such as radiocarbon dating. * checking planning applications and identifying any possible archaeological impact; * Researching and assessing sites. * Ensuring important buildings, monuments and sites are protected and preserved, whilst digs are carried out. * Producing and publishing excavation and site reports. * Publishing articles about recent research or excavations. * Holding educational talks and presentations to public and universities. * Assisting in producing and displaying artifacts.
Salary and conditions: * The starting salaries for archaeologists are from £18,700 to £20,100. * The starting salary for an experienced archaeologist can range from £31,000 - £37,000.
Work Hours/Overtime:
As an Archaeologist you will work a normal 5 day week, from 9am until 5pm.You will be required to work on the occasional weekend doing sampling or overseeing digs. You will be paid accordingly.

Person specification QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: It is essential that the he/she has: * Membership of the Institute of Field Archaeologists (PIFA), or would meet the requirements of membership. * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent competencies in archaeology. It is desirable that the he/she has: * A degree in archaeology and/or an equivalent qualification. * First Aid certificate. * Construction Skills Certification certificate. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: It is essential that the he/she has: * Shows experience of stratigraphic excavation * Shows experience of context recording * Shows experience of planning and photography. * Shows experience of working as part of a team on an archaeological project. * Knowledge of the principles of excavation. * Knowledge of a broad range of archaeological sites. It is desirable that the he/she has: * Experience of finds/environmental processing. * Experience of archives or recorded information. * Experience of surveying with theodolite or EDM.
