Sports England
Sport England have 3 outcomes which they aim for these are grow, sustain and excel. In order to grow they aim for individuals take part more within sport. They also aim to get children and young people taking part in 5 hours of PE and sport within the week. Within the sustain they aim to make individuals more satisfied with their experience of the sport. Also they aim to stop individuals between the ages of 16 to 18 from dropping out of sports. In the excel outcome they aim to improve their sports and development of them.
Executive team have 5 different people within all with different roles. There is the chief executive; director youth and communities, director of property and director of sport. Another way it is structured is their main board which is consisted of 12 individuals.
There are local offices that also cover different areas. These offices are Bedford, Loughborough, London, Durham, Manchester, Bisham abbey Marlow , Crewkerne , Birmingham and Leeds.
In order to fund for this national organisation they have launched many funding programmes which will then allow them to open different organisations such as sports clubs, voluntary or community organisations, local authorities, schools, colleges and universities.
Sport England has invested a lot of money into London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
They are funded by small grants , sports match and inspired facility funds
The British equestrian federation are funded by the lottery.
British gymnastics
Governing body
Within british gymnastics there are 11 different disciplines it is also a governing body. The disciplines are womens artistic, men’s artistic, general gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, team gym, double mini trampolining, trampolining, gymnastics and movement for people with disabilities and tumbling.
