This creates hostility
towards others, especially the police. It’s a viscous cycle. The behaviors of both due to
perceptions reinforces these unfavorable behaviors. The shootings have created social conflict and confusion in the community.
Some results of this conflict are shootings of the police and community violence. Which creates
a circle of ongoing issues. The social conflict resulted in the movement of Black Lives Matter
and other protesting in the community. In return, this has created community division and
concerns for physical safety, for African American’s, the police, and the community. Therefore,
new laws and procedures will need to be established to address these concerns. Awareness of
police procedure and training of the police is needed. The government has power over us all and
the police is an extension of that power. So therefore, African Americans and the police may
assume police have more power than others. Power can be used to create new laws, create
economic impact, and causes police shootings of African Americans. Thus the cycle results in a
