“O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. And hold fast, all together, to the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; And remember with gratitude Allah’s favour on you; For you were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, you became brothers; And you were on the brink of the pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make His signs clear to you: that you may be guided.”1

In order to make an argument contrary to the beliefs of many Americans, Karen Armstrong uses her biography Muhammad to portray Islam as a religion that was created simply to seek social change in a problematic time period. One central theme of the book is that at the time when Islam was created, it was helpful, almost necessary to the people of 7th century Arabia, as their lives were undergoing a period of rapid change. In fact, one could even take away from Muhammad that the message of Islam could be appropriate in today’s society as well. In the early centuries of the Common Era, Trade was revolutionized in the Middle east.…

Unfortunately most Americans and Christians only associate beheadings and burka clad women with Islam. This paper will go beyond these stereo types and provide an objective summary of this worldview, review the flaws inherent in its practice and how to most effectively share the gospel with a Muslim.…

The role that daa’i plays in today’s world is extremely important. Since, there will be no more messengers sent down from Allah (SW) to call onto Islam; a daa’i has to take the mission to restore Islam. The mission will be successful only by following the examples of the Prophet (SAW). Allah (SW) said, In the Messenger (Muhammad) of Allah, you have a beautiful (pattern of conduct) and example for one whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day, and who Praises Allah much (often and deeply). (Al-Quran, chapter 33, verse 21). This essay is aimed at contextualizing the important principles of propagation taken from the life of the Prophet (SAW) and its relevancy today. It shall provide an overview of the Prophet’s life in Madinah by touching on the…

Susannah Nuchenberg, the participant of HP protest in Palo Alto stated “We lay there on the lawn of the HP campus with the signs...It was a peaceful response to the Palestinian civil society call for boycotts. Every name matters”. It was a peaceful protest that didn’t harm anyone or any properties which is more meaningful. Her statement of every name matters powerfully reinforces the idea of nonviolent protest that these activists were doing. The protesters action was opposite from what HP was doing which made the protest more meaningful. As they were fighting for Palestinians who died out of bombing, the not using violence protest supported their claim and reasons better. If they used any kind of force during the protest, the whole meaning of protest would have gone because it is no different from HP Company which they are protesting to. It doesn’t violate or go against any moralities. This peaceful protest worked out best and was also effective as it drew attention without any damage of properties or harming…

A companion who had observed this ran back to the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: “I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah,” and told the Prophet (peace be upon him) of the incident. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then comments: “A person may do good deeds, or so it seems to the people, although he is one of the people of Hell, and a person may commit sins, or so it seems to the people, although he is one of the people of Paradise.” [Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of Sahl Ibn Sa’d (May Allah be pleased with him)]…
