not a toy but some people still think trampolines provided good exercise, but there are other options. Simply said, getting a trampoline is never a good idea.
When one jump on a trampoline, every second oneself are at risk of an injury. With big injuries there can be big hospital bills. We all know that doctors can inflate the prices greatly making a broken bone have to be paid for with an arm and a leg. This shows that it can take years for a family to get back on their feet after a big accent or even a little trip to the emergency room. If they spent all of their money on a trampoline they could be out of money from the prices comparing to the hospital bills. After the accidents even happen, it could take years for a family to come back from a hospital bill and having the injury come from something as simple and terrible as a trampoline. Also there can be accidents that happen that leave to lifelong injuries. A kid in Utah was paralyzed trying to do a double backflip on a trampoline. This shows that kids should not be trusted with this life troubling equipment. Furthermore, permanent brain damage has come from “one out of every 200 trampoline injuries” (O’Neill 21). This means that trampolines aren’t the best way to spend one's time on. Not only are effects from a trampoline bad, but from it being known as a toy.
Trampolines have been noticed of a toy, but its history can say otherwise.
Trampolines were not built childproof, they were built for professional acrobats that later turned into an equipment that military pilots used to train themselves. This shows that trampolines have taken a complete different turn on what it is supposed to do since it was made. Also, if one buys a trampoline with a safety net, guess what, those provided just barely any protection at all. Continuing with that topic, the springs on it is even more dangerous than the trampoline itself. Springs on trampolines are normally metal and if someone hits it when they are coming down it can cause a serious injury. This means that a parent can just be inside (even though they are supposed to watch their kid) and their son or daughter can just come crashing down onto it hurting them instantly. With that in mind, trampolines are not going to be ever made out of pillows and pool noodles, even if those ever happened kids can still find a way to hurt themselves on the springs. Children already have enough things to play with; a trampoline does not have to be one of …show more content…
them.
Some people believe that trampolines provide good exercise, but there are other options.
One of those options is cycling. Someone can burn 200-500 calories depending on a speed in just 30 minutes. This means that someone does not just have to jump on a trampoline and have wonderful exercise but one can be cycling instead. If someone moves up to a bike then someone can even tone ones lower body muscles like running. This means that one's self can enjoy a bike ride or just cycle with one's friend without having to be on hurtful equipment. Furthermore there is another option, soccer. It requires oneself to be in constant motion while running and kicking the ball. It can be even better if someone does it by themselves to go push themselves. Or a player can play with others to get encouragement to go faster. Soccer can give many benefits too. Some of those benefits are flexibility, and increased stamina. With this one can push oneself to the limits with reaching health goal. Getting good exercise does not have to revolve around a trampoline; there are many different choices.
Getting a trampoline is always the worst decision someone can make. Trampolines can have injury accents, and become a rotten toy, also having it provides good exercise but there are other choices. They can also be dangerous in the long wrong with the dreadful not rule following choices made on it. Everyone should rethink their decision the next time they are offered to go onto a health changer trampoline. In the
future, the hope of many doctors and parents are to have the injury prone equipment out of their backyards.
