Analysis of the movies Himala, Matrix and Shrek The phenomenal Filipino film Himala is based on a true incident of a teenage girl in Cabra Island in the province of Occidental Mindoro. In this film, the people believes that the drought they are experiencing is the product of a curse placed upon the town for driving away a leper years before. There are a lot of tragic events happened in the story. It is also related to our society, where almost all of the people blame the government because of the poverty they’re experiencing. But somehow the people of our country should know that a government shall teach man how to catch the fish, not to give the fish. "There is no miracle!! The miracles are in people's hearts, in all our hearts! We make the miracles! We are the ones who make curses, gods...” Elsa said to the people around her in the movie. And for me, this movie is considered to be as a brave movie with a fake miracle. In the movie, the Matrix, I saw the many numbers or so called as binaries which represent the unrealistic things happened in the movie. It means that this movie has a lot of symbolisms that awakens the minds of the audience and especially the critics and the philosophers which also made them think that it must be symbolizes something that is close to the happenings in the reality. The character Neo is sought out by those who already understand the truth and given the choice to learn the truth or return to a life of falsity. In the movie, the Matrix is a computer program that humans are plugged into, the world they view as real is not what
