Argumentative Essay: Why Friends Of Long Beach Animals
I believe Friends of Long Beach Animals is a great deserving non-profit becuase they promote low-cost spay and nueter programs for low-income residents in Long Beach, which is good becuase many people from low-income areas have dogs and cats that are not nuetered, becuase they are either uninformed or they can't afford to nuetered their pets. Those animals that are not nuetered can lead to many unwanted dogs and cats being born, which end up on the streets or in animal shelters leaving some to be euthinized. Friends of Long Beach Animals, also, provide humane education classes for children and provide books to local libraries. The classes they teach to the Long Beaach K-12 schools is about kindness and respect to animals. FOLBA is dedicated

There are two perspectives on this topic, with it or against it. Harp seals are overcrowding and lowering the population of fish in the Canadian waters, this leads to unemployment in many fish industries. There is an animal chain that has to be balanced, by having too many seals they overpopulate and jump the chain, their meat is a great source of omega 3 and 6, their pelts are water resistant and in many cases do not cause allergies, so the hunting sounds pretty beneficial. It’s the most regulated hunt of its kind & the population is large enough to sustain the hunting. There are 9.5 million harp seals and the hunting of seal pups has reduced the global seal population by two-thirds, but there are many other different ways to fix the problem…

While we believe these animals are happy and enjoy the attention, Blackfish has given us reasons not to believe the false advertisement. While comparing these animals to the wild, we see that they are not as free as they should be and deserve to live in their natural habitat. One of the animals that the film focuses on are killer whales, also known as orcas, which are massive animals that like to swim for miles a day not just in circles which is what they do at SeaWorld. After watching Blackfish, I hope viewers are as sickened as I was and vow to never go.…

Animals deserve rights because just like humans, they feel excruciating pain, suffer and have feelings. One would argue that animals don’t experience emotions? But the answer is of course they do. It is emotions that allow animals to display various behavior patterns. According to the theory of utilitarianism, all sentient beings should be given consideration in the society and this includes both animals and humans. Also, animals cannot speak for themselves and for this reason they should be treated equally, protected and given the same respect as human beings. Peter singer’s approach also supports the argument on equal consideration in that animals deserve the same respect as human beings but just in a different view. In today’s society humans exploit animals for milk, meat, fur, scientific experimentation etc. and animals are constantly injured or killed. Their pain and sufferings should be taken into consideration, as this unjust treatment is morally unacceptable. Similarly speciesism is an…

All of my life I have had a tremendous amount of passion for all animals, and in most instances I've found that I have felt more comfortable around them than I do people, finding myself drawn to their many personable qualities, such as innocence, loyalty, lack of judgment, and overall cheerful disposition. As I have grown, my care for animals and their well being has as well, and my eyes have been opened to the horrors taking place all throughout the globe involving poor, innocent animals, who are unable to defend themselves, against the very people they are meant to find companionship with. The controversy over the practice of utilizing animals for the purposes of testing has been an issue for the past 30-40 years, and with it, comes the moral debate. However, the topic of ongoing question, whether animal testing is right or wrong, lies within your own personal morals.…

To an outsider zoo's can appear to be various environments, harsh or beneficial, for example, but is there more than meets the eye? Many zoos will use conservation as a buzzword because it will catch attention and draw you to believe things as said in Rob Laidlaw’s, “Zoos Myth and Reality.” On the contrary, Michael Hutchins, author of “Zoos Connect us to the Real World, states there is much coverage of the positive nurturing of zoos. Overall, today zoos are more educated and take utmost care of their animals, plus 90% of accredited mammals were born in zoos, and now zoos are really striving to improve the lives of their animals.…
