I think the fact that therapy is required might bring many individuals to feel as though they are forced to partake in the therapy and can result in them not taking it seriously. Although, I would hope that if a person is pursuing a career in this profession this would not be the case. Is the therapy free to students since it is required? Is there a time limit to the therapy? These and many more questions come to mind with this subject. I think that these are important questions to ask because they bring up valuable subjects such as the professional and clients time and money. As we spoke about in class, if this therapy was free it would take away from the value of therapy and candidly show that the therapists profession is worth nothing. If a professional therapist was to give away therapy left and right, there would be no value in what they are doing and would be a waste of their time and money. This also brings into consideration the money of the individual being required to go to counseling. If this is a requirement why should they be forced to pay? Personally, I think that individuals should pay because it will provide them an insight on the value of the profession they are aspiring to be
