It's finally here, a year after the finale of the first book. Sorry it took so long. As it turns out, I'm not reliable like at all. Two years have passed since Freeman attacked the Registry, and things have changed. If you haven't yet, I strongly recommend you go read Book 1 - Collared or you will have no idea what is going on.…
The excursion of the first year of the art history bachelor always goes to Paris. At first I wasn't happy that I was placed in the parks and gardens group, until of course I thought about Versailles! We had a whole day to visit Versailles and we needed it. We walked so much that I was literally limping at the end of the day. I guess sometimes you have to make sacrifices to see beautiful things.…
I, Jaelin Carter, am writing to you, Hetal Patel, to prove to you why I deserve to continue my college career here at Robert Morris University. Rightfully so, should I have been on academic probation seeing as though I did not take the opportunity to allow my true scholastic ability to speak for me. By no means am I using this appeal as a window to make excuses for my poor choices but to simply enlighten you on the troubling and disheartening incidents that occurred which unfortunately became my first priority.…
In his story, the ghost of Hector tells Aeneas that the city is lost and that he must flee the city in order to help Troy live on for the survivors of Troy will form the greatest empire the world has ever known; Rome. If Aedeas dies in the city, Rome will never be formed and the Greeks would have truly won. While Aedeas does attempt to defend Troy with his fellow soldiers, he realizes that the ghost was correct and the city is lost. He leaves the city with as many survivors as he can bring. Aedeas will now carry on the legacy of Troy through his bloodline and the Greeks have inadvertently allowed for his future…
Medea's first public statement, a sort of "protest speech," is one of the best parts of the play and demonstrates a complex, at times even contradictory, representation of gender. Medea's calm and reasoning tone, especially after her following out bursts of despair and hatred, provides the first display of her ability to gather herself together in the middle of crisis and pursue her hidden agenda with a great determination. This split in her personality is to a certain degree gender bias. The lack of emotional restraint is "typical" of women, and the strong attention to moral action is a common trait of heroes. Medea actually uses both of these traits so that her wild emotions fuel her ideals, thus producing a character that fails to fit into a clear mold.…
So I've been doing this experiment were I've been smiling to more people and being more friendly towards people since I am a somewhat shy person around strangers. So what I did on my first day of my mini experiment was just start smiling more and then by being kind of stalker like I observed their behavior. the funny thing was that most people that smiled back seemed to just have a better day. The funny thing is since I haven't really told anyone about my little expiremnet one of my friends noticed that I was smiling more often. Then I realized that I was generally happier since I started this expiremnet because now I talk more to people and am not as…

Hi, my name is name, and I am from West Fork, Arkansas. I find myself here at Ecclesia for many reasons. Those reasons consist of baseball, the Christian environment, and my future life goals. The first reason that comes to mind is baseball.…
I am Brenda Lizette Loredo. The way I got my name was due to a discussion between my mother and aunt resulting in my father being the resolver. I was born on September 25, 1997 in Richmond, Texas at 2:48 am. This resulted in my first two years of my life living in Richmond, Texas. Around two years old we moved to Rosharon, Texas where I have lived for almost sixteen years. In these sixteen years that I have lived in Rosharon I have experienced many things, but the uttermost great thing that has happened to me and for what I am grateful the most for is for having a warm home full of love and a wonderful neighborhood. In my neighborhood, everyone is friendly with each other. If one person needs help we all pitch in order…
The author and narrator of “The Aeneid” is Publius Vergilius Maro (known simply as “Vergil”), though the tale briefly transitions into Aeneas’s narrative at one point. Responding to audiences who are unfamiliar with his tale and motivated by the need to share it, Vergil recounts Aeneas’s story, from his actions during the fall of the city of Troy to his visit to the Underworld and beyond. Scholars have long studied this piece and debated its significance, either as a simple historical tale of fiction or as a medium across which Vergil expressed his thoughts and musings. (Topic) The best way to interpret "The Aeneid" (Argument) is as a study into the character of Aeneas, who exhibits signs of the Roman virtues virtus and disciplina (or the lack…
A time when I took the lead in solving a problem in my community was when I chose my Eagle Project. I wanted my project to impact as many people as possible and I also wanted to give back to the organization that had sponsored my scout troop for so long. I looked over the church grounds and found a need. The church, borders the Harpeth River in Franklin, TN and members can choose to have baptisms done in the river. The problem that existed was that the baptismal site wasn’t safe for those partaking in it or viewing it. The riverbank is steep and there wasn’t a safe place for families to view the event. An old triangular deck was present, but it was small, not adequately anchored and had poorly attached rope rails. My goal was to construct a…
“The Texas Myth” in history has been created by many Anglo historians in hopes of creating and perpetuating a history that supports the Anglo cause of expansion during early Texas history. Many of the early Texas historians such as Webb, Dobie, Haley, and Webber have provided many historical accounts as told from the Anglo perspective. However, new historians such as Volanto, Goldman and Ginn have provided new perspectives that have begun to challenge the traditionalist views of history. With different views of history, we can then begin to understand how other cultures have contributed to the creation of the Texan Identity and help in moving away from the Myth.…
In Massachusetts, the death toll per year on average over the last ten years has stayed in the high fourteen thousands. Doctors have been prescribing opiates unnecessarily, patients are becoming over dependant, crossing over to more dangerous drugs, death tolls are high, and there has always been attempts on to correcting the problem, but what are the resources available, and why is the death toll still so high? Many families lose loved ones regularly due to drug dependency. The hope of this paper is to paint a picture of what it is like to go through the recovery system. Hopefully, the takeaway from this paper is that there is a chance to get better, but we need to be able to completely get rid of the problem without actively helping those…
