Army Leadership Philosophy

Army Leadership are skills that every soldier should have regardless of rank. Leaders can have different philosophies. All leader's philosophies should have a positive outcome on their soldiers and leadership. My Army Leadership Philosophy focuses on leading by example, confidence and knowledge. I will discuss how I lead by example. I was an instructor for Pre-Air Assault School at 2-17 CAV AV BN. I would give inspiring talks to the students on the value of completing the course and earning the badge. This sets up goals that they could strive to achieve. I would work with each student to develop the necessary skills required to pass the school. I would show the students what right looks like every day. I would see small changes in them every week. I would demonstrate every task, exercise, and event for the soldiers. I would also perform them with the solders. They finish the training and graduated Air Assault School. I saw soldiers excel in Air Assault School because of Pre-Air Assault Training. I believe that leading by example showed them the path to success. This is one of the most powerful traits I have come to offer to my soldiers. My knowledge of military doctrine and skills is vital in my leadership philosophy. My ability to advice and mentor junior soldiers in their career is evidence of this. I was the Training Room NCO at E Co 782nd MI BN. I was able to guide soldiers down the path of success by setting up their individual career paths. We would set goals to help develop the skills they needed to be successful inside and outside of the military. I had to learn each path that their MOS and job role required, along with advanced options. I design a training path for these soldiers so that they could meet their individual and unit goals. My time in the Training Room, gave me a new perspective on what it means to be an Army
