Such as when Junior made the decision to go to Reardan High; Although he had a few close friends and family that were happy that he wanted to turn his life around, many people in the reservation hated him for leaving Wellpinit. They called him a traitor, and a “white lover”. In addition to the hate from residents of the reservation, the people at Reardan were known for being racist rednecks; driving through Reardan, you were often targeted by the police for being native american and would get pulled over. Being the only native american in a xenophobic white community would be
