Operation: Article of Week
Women have made many turning points in history, and it is about time the gals showed that they can be in a position of power. The article “Ten Reasons a Women Should Head the C.I.A.”, written by Tara Miller is about just that. Overall I agree with the writers claim that women should climb to power and improve the status of women everywhere in this nation, which we call ‘equal’. At many times the author seems biased to me, perhaps because she is a woman herself.
I believe that women should improve their status through having a higher position. Gaining senior positions is very important, these positions maintain what the public views as great, efficient and worthy to this country. A position in the C.I.A. is highly regarded, which in turn makes the highest position, president, very highly regarded. What shocked me the most was that many other countries such as India, Germany, and Brazil have had female leaders but America has not? This is unacceptable in many ways, and it is debated that because of this reason the United States of America is where it is now, bankrupt. It is about time women start to jump some steps of the ladder. Becoming the head of the C.I A. means that so many other doors will open for women, leading to windows, back doors and so much more. I intend to climb in through a window and reach a status equal to or greater than this one, perhaps presidency?
