I have a question, who has an answer?
Formative Assessment where a teacher makes cards with an answer to one question and a question to another answer. Then, distributes the cards to the class. The point is to create a chain reaction. One student starts by asking their question and another student responds with the answer. Then, that student ask their question and so on.
This is a good way to keep the students listening because they will not know who has the card that corresponds with theirs until it is read. They will also be having to think about how the question is going to be asked so they know if they have the answer.
