* Leading

Leading is one of the basic function within the management process "Leading is the use of influence to motivate employees to achieve organizational goals”. Managers must be able to make employees want to participate in achieving an organization's goals. Three components make up the leading function:

 Motivating employees
 Influencing employees
 Forming effective groups.

* Effective leading:

Effective leading requires the manager to motivate subordinates, communicate effectively, and effectively use power. If managers are effective leaders, their subordinates will be enthusiastic about exerting effort toward the attainment of organizational objectives. * A manager needs to do more than just plan, organize, and staff her team to achieve a goal. He must motivate, communicate, guide, and encourage the employees. And this requires the manager to coach, assist the employees.

Ways of motivating employees:
1. Recognition/Attention. When your employees accomplish something they have achieved something. Your recognition is appreciation for that achievement .this will encourage the employee to do the best in his job.
2.One-on-One Coaching. Coaching is employee development. Your only cost is time. Time means you care. And remember your people don't care how much you know... until they know how much you care. make sure to do this coaching in "public." Whenever you recognize and encourage people in "public," it acts as a natural stimulant for others who are close enough to see or hear what's taking place.
3. Training. Different types of training sessions will continually enhance the performance of your people and the productivity of your business.
4. Career Path. Your employees need to know what is potentially ahead for them, what opportunities there are for growth. This issue is a sometimes forgotten ingredient as to the importance it plays in the overall motivation of people. If you do this you are sending a very positive message

Term Project I requires students to develop and analyze an annual line-item budget and translate that budget, and additional information, into a quarterly cash budget. Term Project II requires students to convert the line-item budget into a functional budget. Further information is employed by students to create a flexible budget. However, one thinks that leading is the most important role in management. As a good leader one will inspire others to do their best in order to accomplish ones objectives. One must motivate employee interest, communicate well, provide adequate training and use power effectively to get them to work hard to attain ones goal. According to Schyve, M.D. (2009), poor communication, inadequate training, and lack of procedural compliance—often can be traced back to the failure of leadership to institute systemic solutions to ensure safety. Also, for effective leadership one must first understand employee’s values, emotions, attitudes, and personalities. “Through leading, managers build commitments, encourage activities that support goals, and influence others to do their best work on the organization’s behalf (Lombardi & Schermerhorn, 2007).” Without good leadership, all other functions seem to fall apart.…

    Communication would be the most important to use in training or learning what motivates employees in an organization. By communicating with them and discussing what their goals are and what they see as a future, a manager can get the feel of the individual character. A manager physically sitting down and talking with individual employees; whether the manager is new or he/she is a new employee. No manager can actually begin to assess an employee without talking to them. The manager needs to lay out what is expected, and emphasize policies. With the sit down, a manager can also get a feel of what the employee future goal is while being at the company.…

    One of the most important roles in management may be the use of employee motivation. Without the motivation of employees a business can potentially fail or not succeed as it needs to. Having a range of motivational techniques can help to improve the stability of a motivational method or methods. Performing as a great manager means that the manager is in tune with not only the business and consumers, but also the employees on all levels of the business.
