Task 1: ONE significant insight from LC “Context” lessons 6-9.
From LLC lesson 6, the video reflection on Orpheus Chamber of Orchestra had encapsulated me on how amazing that an orchestra can perform beautifully even without a official conductor leading. The concept of Orpheus provided a deeper understanding of a distributed leadership 1 , which made me to ponder on the possibility of distributed leadership in the SAF as it is an unquestionably a traditional 2 and bureaucratic organisation, which is associate to a hierarchical rank structure and chain of command.

was understood that the styles of leadership were often dependent of the leader, the follower and situations. I believe the full range leadership model is best suited for my next appointment and I need to balance the range of styles between transactional and transformational so that I can effectively communicate and lead as a Officer Commanding
(CO) of a Battalion. Reaching for transformational leadership style will likely to yield a positive and longer-lasting effects.

Leadership, Management and Command (LMC) (refer to Figure 2) from LLC lesson 2 to be one of the key requirement. LMC are three distinct concepts but inseparable and intertwined”15. Taking over a command appointment makes me dwell deeper into the LCM
