In Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Aunt Alexandria plays an important part during the book. Although her methods had a tendency to be harsh her intentions were good. Once Aunt Alexandria heard about the trail of Tom Robinson she decided to move in with the Finch family. Atticus was grateful for the help but the children were less than excited. Aunt Alexandria is proud, determined and conflicted.
Atticus and his sister, Aunt Alexandria, had contrasting personalities. Atticus had taught the children that it does not matter where a person is from, it is always expected of them to be kind.
