Population density Map
In this recent (2011) map of Australia which show the density of the country, we can see that New South Wales, which is found in the south east of the country and Queensland, which is found in the north east and east of the country is the most populated part. Cities like Canberra (the capital of the country), Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, etc. are part of the cities which are the most populated of the country with other 1000 people living other there. Whereas the Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia is less populated than Queensland and New South Wales, and has only other 100 people living other there. There is more people living in the east of the country because there is a good climate, no extreme cyclones or droughts, there is most of the cities found in the east of the country therefore, there is better job opportunities, and for other
reasons.
Population distribution map
The map above is the most recent population distribution map of dot map of Australia (2008). Like for population density there is a lot more people living in Queensland and New South Wales than in Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. This is the case because in the west, north and south of the country there is not a good climate, not a lot of job opportunities, they experience droughts and cyclones and some parts of the center of the island are inhabitable.
