The authoritarian parenting style causes a variety of child outcomes, such as, aggressive behavior outside the home, depression, anxiety and the urge to become rebellious. In Essay # 20, My Father’s Parenting vs. My Parenting, the author states that she did become rebellious from this parenting style. She also stated in her essay that she always looked for nurturing and unconditional love from her dad, but it was never there. This caused her and her father to never actually have a good father-daughter relationship.
