Auto Insurance Research Paper
Unless you live in one of the 12 US states that don't consider "fault" a factor that affects auto insurance reimbursement after a car accident, someone is always determined to be the guilty party when a two-vehicle auto collision occurs. If you suspect you are at-fault after an accident and like to conduct yourself in an honorable fashion, you may immediately take the blame for an accident that you truly were not at fault for. Even the most seemingly cut-and-dry accident laws, such as the blame always being on a driver who rear-ends another, aren't always as cut-and-dry as you think. Here are a few auto accident instances when a driver may think they are at-fault, but are not, and why you should never accept fault until you speak to a lawyer about the …show more content…
This driver would also be at fault if they drove through a stop sign or sped through a red light, and the other driver would have been able to complete a safe turn or pulled out of the driveway safely if not for these important laws having been broken by the other driver.

You may even be in the clear, if you are ever involved in this type of accident, if something outside of your control interfered with your ability to make the traffic maneuver as quickly as you would have been able to otherwise. Interference could occur with a sudden, unexpected vehicle malfunction, a pedestrian suddenly interfering with your turn, or even a bumble bee entering your vehicle.

Just as you should do after you rear-end another driver, you should always contact both the police and an auto accident attorney directly after this type of accident occurs. Also, politely ask witnesses to stick around and speak to the officer and your attorney. If they have to leave before anyone else is on the scene, then ask for their names and phone numbers, so they can report what they saw at a later

He was driving down a road where there was a bad accident on the other side, emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances were everywhere. His lane was pretty clear and moving however the car in front of him abruptly slammed and their brakes and stopped in the middle of the lane. My father did not have to react fully and when he slammed on his brakes his car was not able to come to a complete stop and ended up ramming into the car that stopped in front him. This car stopped to take a look at the accident that was the other side of the road which is just plain ironic since they ended up causing an accident of their own. Luckily in the accident my father was involved in both parties involved turned out okay and virtually unharmed. However, my father’s car is most likely totaled although we will not know for certain until we take it in to be checked. When people are in accidents due to distracted driving not everybody is so lucky, many distracted driving accidents are…

I, Courtney have been working for the Defensive Driving School for teens for 20 years; because of my occupation, I know common mistakes teenagers make while driving. Common mistakes that I’ve seen are, improper lane changing, changing lanes in an intersection, lack of steering control, and distracted driving. Since I see these mistakes daily, I try to avoid these things to stay out of accidents. On October 29th, I was leaving Chick fil a from picking up my late lunch, it was around two o’clock in the afternoon. After I pulled out of the parking lot a red dodge ram pulled out behind me. Before I knew it, I saw the accident unfold before my eyes. In my professional opinion, I appeared that Tom was distracted by his passenger. Kay was…

We were finally ready to leave and began walking to the car, which during the walk I remembered I needed to stop and get gas. So we headed to the gas station, filled up CoCo, which was my first vehicle, and were off to the dinner. In order to get to the dinner we had to get on the I-10 to I-110. We started off at great start on the highway. Crazily, only ten minutes into the ride we faced complications. While driving in the middle lane on I-10, an eighteen wheeler truck felt the need that it had to get over from the left lane into the middle. With the position I was in I could neither get over to my right nor to my left due to other vehicles being there. There was also a vehicle behind me. The truck began veering over to the right into my lane. I began to honk my horn and slow down as much as possible without causing the car behind me to hit me. I assumed the truck would realize by my honking of the horn it just was not the best time for him to come over into the lane I was in. Unfortunately he did not, and by the time the vehicle behind had gotten over for me to slow down even more the back of the truck hit the front of my car. The truck was lower than usual and the back hit the hood of my car sending my car spinning three times thereafter smacking into the barrier on the bridge. Initially, I was frozen in my seat thinking how fast it escalated but how slow it felt as far as spinning and hitting the…

Out on our busy roads, one could find himself in a lot of trouble when it comes to reckless driving. This is an effect caused by road rage that could cost a person up to one thousand dollars in fines or even to lose the privilege of driving for a period of time. State troopers, which are the authority on the roads, have no mercy on these kinds of drivers. Usually, ones mentality does not allow you to lose your temper while driving, but in some occasions this is not true. If a driver is peacefully driving and another driver cuts him off, he might lose his cool, perhaps because of issues he might have, and if caught by an officer of the law there is not much that he can say or do to get out of the ticket. Whatever your negative reaction was to the action of the other driver it is considered reckless and will cost you a great fine.…
