The first major organizational part of the Documentary is the focus of the children in the video. The whole Documentary is focused on the children in their “home”, the restricted area where they “play”, and the education that they get at school. Pelosi interviews each child individually in order to get to know about the lives they are living. They are a major party of the video because they are the reason they don’t have enough to give their family a better life. The two moms that Pelosi interviews are working one or more jobs in order to stay at the hotel. The first mom that is interviewed has a husband who doesn’t have a job and he doesn’t seem to help much around the motel room. The second mom that is interviewed is a widow, therefore; she is their only source of income. These women are trying to provide for their children and give them a better life, but they are unable to do so because they are overworked and underpaid. These two organizing parts are coordinated by one another because they showing the lives these children are living, which is being affected by their parents. Pelosi is making a connection between both of the women and she is pointing out he underlying concept that there are hardly any men in the documentary, except when they are lining up for food. The traditional responsibilities that men should have aren’t present and it’s the women taking over those responsibilities and their role.
