Mark Tovar “Aztec” 10/22/2016 Medium: Acrylic Mixed Media After viewing the painting “Aztec by Mark Tovar, I was able to note several elements of art represented throughout the painting. In terms of form the painting featured only organic forms and did not appear to depict a third dimension. The content of the painting focuses on the Aztec depicted in the center of the painting. In terms of style, the painter appears to attempt to replicate the painting style of Aztec art. The Acrylic Mixed Media the painter implemented gave the painting a sense of commotion or chaos since the medium creates wild lines throughout the painting.
