Biography of a Pencil

I am a pencil. Iam made out of wood. I am colored white with pink flowers. I have an eraser at the back of me. I was born in the factory at Hyderabad on December 15th 2003. I was 18.5 CMs when I was born put now I am only 3 CMs. First I was put inside a box with many pencils. Then I was taken to a shop called Camilin Stores, where you get everything of the brand Camilin as I am a Camlin pencil. I was displayed on the 3rd shelf in the shop. I stayed in the same place for 15 days when a boy named Kishor came to Camlin Stores and bought me. Kishor was very proud of me. Everyday he would show me off tests and to someone. Kishore used me only for his exams. because he really pressed hard on me sometimes my head broke, so he used to sharpen me which really pained and by the way, that is why Iam so small. Just because Iam so small already, Kishor thinks that if he keeps using me, I will vanish in no time, and that is true! So Kishor doesn't use me anymore but he keeps me in his secret shelf which he covers with paper and doesnt let anyone see!

An Autobiography of a Tree

I am tree in Jim Corbett national park I am here from past 55 years. Proud and firm, I stand on the ground. Tigers and more animals rest under me. Birds make their nest on me. I feel very glad when they rest under me when the tigress feed her cubs under my shadow in the afternoon I feel very happy and then the cubs start playing and then they sleep under my shadow. I like all the animals and the people in the forest and especially the I.F.S. officer for the care and concern they show me.

I readily and happily offer shelter to all the animals and the hard working people who work in the forest. I still remember the time when I was young, slim and trim my desire that one day I will grow and give shelter to everybody and today that desire of me has come true. When there was rain, I was in high spirits I use to feel fresh and after the rain when sun use to shine it was a pleasant

    3) The judge has made a judicial error by allowing the Plaintiff 's counsel to comment on the case about Minichiello 's boss being a German with an "attitude of hatred" and made forced analogies to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. The judge also allowed irrelevant testimony, which asserted that the Club discriminated against Latinos, Jews, and African-Americans, to the issue of discrimination based on sexual orientation. I agree that awarding $20,000,000 was grossly excessive and has no rational basis, and was an error by the judge as well.…

Cause and effect experimental research involves a situation where a researcher manipulates a variable called an independent variable. Once that is done, he evaluates another variable called a dependant variable and checks to see if it reacts to the manipulated independent variable. If the dependant variable is reacting to the independent variable in a predicted way, than the researcher can conclude that the independent variable is the cause of the change of the dependant variable. This is the process of a cause and effect experimental research test. In a field experiment, subjects are observed in their natural outdoor environment so that researchers can study their behavior. Most of the time, the subjects are not aware of the researchers and so usually the conclusions are mostly accurate. For example, researchers may follow lions and research how they live, eat, breed and also migrate in order for them to stay close behind on their prey. As long as the researchers are not interrupting the lion’s routine, their findings should be highly accurate. The drawback to this experiment is that the researchers have little to no control of the experiment if something happens. The last experiment is a laboratory experiment. This is where a subject is put in a controlled environment so that the researcher can manipulate the setting and see if it causes any reaction in the subject. The advantage to this research is that the researcher has a high amount of control of the setting so that he or she can manipulate the environment and way they see fit in order to get a response from the subject. One example could be putting a subject in a empty room and administer different drugs to him to see what would be the results. Since the room is empty and nothing can interfere with the subject, the researchers can monitor the subject closely and record accurate readings since there are…

At the end of August the University of Michigan announced how it would comply with the Supreme Court's ruling in Gratz v. Bollinger, the ruling in June that outlawed UM's undergraduate racial quotas for failing to meet the test of being "narrowly tailored." UM's response, unveiled on August 28, has three parts. Applicants will now have to divulge information about the educational backgrounds of family members; their high-school counselors or principals will have to respond to a form that asks whether they know of "any socio-economic, personal, or educational circumstance that may have affected this student's academic achievement, either positively or negatively;" and applicants will have to write a 250-word "diversity" essay.…

I just wanted to see if I can help you understand a little about the internet and answer some of the questions you have for me. In the beginning you had to have a phone line, but the big cable companies started to use the cable system to transfer the data making it faster and more reliable. Private companies would start-up web browsers and search engines, internet service providers and email; all quickly changed the landscape and the culture around us. Many people became rich and powerful, but along with them came the scammers and those that were less ethical. Because of them the reliability of what you were reading, viewing or watching became suspect. There was so much money to be made because the net had exploded into almost every household in America. You had asked how to check the reliability of what you are reading; there are many ways to do this.…

When we have reached old age and reminisce of days long ago, will we look back on ourselves and note the changes we have gone through? Is it possible that we are exactly the same person we were dozens of years ago, or have certain parts of our personalities changed while other parts have stayed the same? I can at least say that for myself, I have undergone significant changes with my personality throughout the course of my life. My personality development was not only a product of nature, or genetics, but the environment as well.…

As a child, I was raised my whole life in the country side. My mother and I had lived for years in a lonely shack at the edge of the small village we called home. At the very edge of the village was an eerie forest, a forest that seemed to beckon unwary fools into entering it. I was always told as a child to never go near the forest, especially at night. Some people say that a bear lives there, while others say that a serial killer lives there, and some even say that a monster lives there, either way the forest is always portrayed with death. I remember various occasions in which I would wake up for reasons unknown, only to find myself outside in my backyard staring at the edge of the forest, the soft moonlight caressing my bare skin, the crisp night air followed by the refreshing scent of grass. On one occasion I thought I heard a…
