Bacteria Infected Water
Bacteria infected water can be sensed by a bioelectronic nose that mimics a human nose. It works by finding the flavor the levels of bacteria that contaminates the water. The nose is very sensitive and can detect the earthy and musty scent from the tainted water.
From what im gathering from the nose is that it seems super real. i just imagine one of those nose things they give you at the dentists or doctors when you need oxygen (the one shaped like a nose, with nostrils and all). When im thinking of it as an actual science item i just imagine a big box that can sort and break down the smells into equations and such.
