Most of our lives depend on the habits we create. Habits define who we are. Whether they are good or bad, it is our decision to decide. There are quite a few bad habits in our world that people get so addicted to doing that they suddenly can’t control themselves and their mind begins to think that it is part of what you’re meant to do.
Some people confuse themselves about what is a habit and what is not. Smoking, drinking and doing drugs are bad habits but, they come under a different name which is called addictions. It is best that these types of addictions are tended and treated to before it affects them. Obsessive behaviour such as overspending should also not be mistaken for a bad habit because, it is way more serious than having bad posture or biting you nails.
But, before you try to get rid of a habit just make sure it is a habit and if it really needs to be stopped. If you are unsure if your bad habit is really a bad habit, use the internet or books to find out more. Research is a perfect way to start getting rid of a bad habit.
Some habits aren’t bad like another great way to stop a bad habit is to teach your mind that it is a bad habit. It is the same thing with animals. If you keep playing fetch with your dog, your dog will end up wanting to play fetch with you nearly every time you see him. Or if you keep your cats and dogs inside all the time and then, decide to put them outside, they will whine and yowl because, they want to come inside and don’t know where to sleep outside or how to feel safe. Every living thing in the world will keep doing things that they have been taught to do over and over again until their mind can make them do things on their own.
Many habits can be changed by a few simple steps for example; putting bitter polish on your nails to stop you biting them, or maybe if you have a big habit that you can’t get rid of, put, punishments down to help try and stops the habit. A way to analyse which habit stopper is
