The thing that every kid dreads, it’s the thing that eats up at your free time while making you do work. Are you catching on? Of course you are. Its homework. We think that homework should be BANNED, or at least, put to a limit. Just think of those endless hours lost, catching up on school work that improves nothing. And you get in trouble if you forget to hand it in! Too much homework can even promote students to turn off school!
Firstly, too much homework can prove to have an extremely stressful effect on students. If too much homework is set, it’s the only thing that we can think about, which can have a devastating effect on our normal schoolwork. Also, too much homework can prove to introduce sleep deprivation, which also has a horrific effect on our school work. One time, I stayed up so late doing homework, I fell asleep at the table! Also, homework shows to make students depressed and antisocial, which can also have a destructive effect on a student’s extra-curricular life.
Secondly, when we get caught up in too much homework, we don’t get any time for extra-curricular activities. Such as sport, which is healthy, therefore improving a student’s schoolwork, or music lessons, which improves a kids brain functionality altogether and drama, which can improve a student’s social abilities. Also, when we forget our homework, we get in trouble which is extremely unfair, as we are only human and we forget things or get distracted from tasks.
Finally, if not ban homework, at least put a limit to it. Homework isn’t just excruciating for the students, it’s hard for the teachers too. It’s like teachers want to make it more difficult for us and themselves. Teachers already spend hours of their free time marking tests, worksheets, essays and maths, why should they use up even more of their free time marking homework? When you limit the homework, it puts less strain on the students and the teachers. This improves the workload around the whole classroom, and
