Abstract
The issue of this paper is going to discuss the censorship of the novel and movie, The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. The novel was declared too graphic for the young mind, and yet there are many points behind the novel. The novel is indeed full of violence but it does not promote violence to the reader. Furthermore, this paper will be going over not only the positive effects of reading The Hunger Games, but also the negative effects. Questions and concerns are raised constantly about censorship but, the problem is that people are constantly basing their own reviews off the reviews of others. On the other hand, parents need to also watch over what their children are doing in order to fully understand their views on violence. The current generation is more inclined to read violent books than calm ones. To finish, censorship needs to be carefully evaluated before making any final concerns.
